Messi is highly overrated because he only scores very simple goals that actually are a result of an excellent pass from his teammates Xavi, Iniesta or Fabregas etc… Messi is nothing without those players, see what Messi did with Argentina national team? Not one goal in the World Cup. So, it would be unfair to give Messi a recognition for a individual sportsman of the year, he could opt for a prize with his team Barcelona that for sure will win the prize “team of the year”. Djokovic is an individual tennis player, so if he is nr.1 in the world and won all the GS he did, he should get the prize for INDIVIDUAL sportsman of the year 2011.
